“O.O.D.E.” stands for “Orthodox Outlet for Dogmatic Enquiries”.

It means that the team behind this website is Orthodox, and that it concerns itself with the Christian Dogma.

For those who are wondering: “what is the Christian dogma all about, that it involves enquiries?” our reply is that the Dogma is God’s revelation to mankind, and that it has so many parameters and “levels” of understanding, that no matter how much it is studied by man, he will never cease to enquire about every detail of its content; even more so, when the boundaries of this Christian dogma need to be defined, whenever it has to confront the constantly sprouting heretical theories that attempt to distort it.

O.O.D.E. therefore digs deep and locates those details which make the difference between the Christian Truth and a heresy. And in order to achieve this, O.O.D.E. is compelled to do in-depth searching of the dogmas of the assorted heresies, compare them to the Christian faith and then disprove them.

It also provides a forum for analyses and interpretational proposals, even on a multitude of subjects that have not yet been officially dogmatized by the Church, but have nevertheless been brought to the surface by the contemporary trend of multi-information and must therefore be tackled eventually.  Thus, apart from the studying and the outlining of the Christian faith, another endeavor is being made in various sectors to provide opportunities for a fertile Theological dialogue.  And all of the above demand in-depth enquiry, and especially in-depth enquiry into the dogmas.
